From the luminescent, hand-gilded 24K gold of the bowl 

to the silky feathers on the curve of the neck, 

each piece is a singular and exquisite work of art, 

sculpted and finished entirely by hand.

既存のパイプレストでは満足出来ず、

代用出来る好みのモノは無いかと探し続けている。

有名な英国の "L'OBJET"（リンク）で見付けた

豪華な白鳥の"Swan Salt Cellar"。

その洗練された華麗な雰囲気には魅了される。

ソルトセラーとしてでは無く、

パイプ・レストとして使いたくなった。

しかし、金色のクチバシや目、そしてボールは、

２４K純金箔を贅沢に使用しているようだ。

私の部屋には豪華過ぎて相応しく無い。

白鳥の背中に抱かれたパイプで喫煙すると、
煙りも白く羽ばたいて大空を飛翔するかも知れない。
いい思い付きだと、白鳥を探していたら、

 "LENOX"製の安価だが美しい白鳥が見付かった。

流れる様な曲線の造形バランスが素晴らしく

華美さを抑えた気品も漂っている。
喫煙パイプ置きには女性的過ぎるかも知れないが、
そのアンバランスの良さも捨て難い。
